Bali

I planned to write this post when I arrived in Bali, but between horrible jet lag on top of all day classes and spotty electricity and internet service from the storms at the end of rainy season here I am just now getting a chance.  I have been here for 6 days now; on one hand I feel like I just got here and on the other I feel like I left home a lifetime ago.

I am here to participate in a Doula workshop and it has been an amazing experience so far.  We have already covered so much information and still have much more to learn.  There are 28 of us here in this first workshop in Bali from counties all over the world.  Some of us don’t even speak the same language.  But we all have a desire to better serve women in pregnancy and childbirth and that is all that really matters.  It is refreshing to say the least to be surrounded by so many like minded individuals; sharing ideas, hopes, dreams and a vision for a better birth experiences for all women.

I will continue to post about my time here as well as more about the workshop in the coming days and weeks.  If you have any questions please leave a comment below---internet is a bit spotty sometimes but I will do my best to get back to you ASAP.
